      About the Role:

      We're looking for a sharp, ambitious generalist to help run the operations that keep OpenRouter fast, safe, and customer-friendly. This is a hands-on, analytical role at the intersection of product, community, data, and trust & safety for a brand new industry: language model inference.

      You'll dive into real usage data, spot patterns in how people interact with the product, and shape systems that help us scale. You'll own a broad set of responsibilities-from support and abuse prevention to payments and funnel analysis-making this an ideal role for someone who wants to grow into a data-savvy operator at a fast-moving startup.

      What You'll Do:
      • Trust & Safety:
        • Monitor and manage our payments abuse detection systems; refine our triage process and enforcement tools.
        • Analyze user behavior to detect abuse; propose and implement smarter filters and policies.
        • Track payment health, funnel drop-off, and opportunities for improvement, including across our cryptocurrency payment channels.
      • Analytics & Insights:
        • Use SQL-based tools to analyze user behavior and surface actionable insights across abuse, payments, and support.
        • Own key dashboards and reporting for support load, abuse trends, and usage patterns.
        • Monitor funnel metrics and flag breakages or unexpected shifts.
      • Customer & Community Ops:
        • Answer support tickets and build tools/workflows to improve efficiency.
        • Stay active in our Discord to help users and surface real-time feedback or issues.
      • Vendor & Partner Requests:
        • Manage inbound provider trust and safety requests and similar partner workflows.

      About You:
      • You're analytical and curious. You enjoy diving into messy data, slicing it ten different ways, and pulling out insights others miss.
      • You're competent in SQL. You can self-serve analysis in SQL-based tools and are comfortable exploring datasets without needing a data team to help.
      • You're proactive and constructive. You take ownership, move quickly, and build systems that make things better over time.
      • You're technically fluent. You've run projects from GitHub, worked with APIs, and debugged small issues in Python or JavaScript.
      • You're a strong communicator. You write crisply, escalate clearly, and explain your reasoning well.

      Nice to Have:
      • Experience with Stripe, Discord, fraud/abuse prevention, or support ops.
      • Background in startups, ops, trust & safety, or customer-facing roles.
      • Knowledgeable about the AI industry and user expectations around AI APIs
