What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and oversee the Payroll and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring effective workflow and performance management
- Provide hands-on support for payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies
- Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with standards
- Proactively monitor internal controls and lead business process improvements within the department
- Coordinate department-wide communications and training related to process or policy changes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or closely related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible work involving supervisory responsibilities in Payroll and Accounts Payable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, and SharePoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), or other related professional designation
- Extensive experience with ERP financial reporting systems similar to PeopleSoft 9.2, including query writing and report creation
- Proven customer service focus with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving and developing effective solutions
