What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the Principal Assistant to the Payroll Manager, supporting payroll operations
- Lead the development and maintenance of payroll procedures ensuring compliance with regulations
- Monitor payroll practices for efficiency and compliance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on payroll-related matters
- Review and train lower-level payroll staff, ensuring accuracy in payroll processing

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience totaling seven (7) years
- Experience in payroll processing and operations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and produce accurate results
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting, and four to five years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in a financial-related field or certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Management Accountant
- Experience leading the work of others and training payroll staff
- Proven ability to evaluate complex payroll data for accuracy and make necessary corrections
- Experience in processing quarterly and annual payroll filings and payments
