      Position Title: Payroll Lead-WF Reports To: Payroll Manager Location: Freeport, IL Summary: The Payroll Lead-WF is responsible for assigned payrolls and the monitoring and assisting in the process of payroll. Works closely with the Payroll Supervisor and assists with payroll service delivery approaches by examining payroll processes. Works with Business Partners on cross functional tasks with emphasis on the time and attendance system. Maintains working knowledge of payroll to understand gross to net paycheck calculation. Responsibilities: · Manage time and resources to meet predetermined deadlines. · Review daily change report and respond to required master file maintenance, adjustment calculations, termination pay calculations, and check distribution. · Maintain strict confidentiality of all information encountered. · Provide high level customer service to a diverse group of internal customers including employees, Business Unit leaders, HR, Finance, and IT teams as well as external customers such as attorneys, state/federal agency contacts. · Provide support on garnishment and tax levies to assure accurate processing. · Assist with Workforce new setups, upgrade, and maintenance testing. · Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with cross functional internal business partners. · Assist Payroll Supervisor with training instructions for the time and attendance system. · Annually update Workforce holiday schedules and accrual table. · Attend Workforce Governance bi-monthly meetings. · Create and update Workforce training material as needed. · Be lead for Workforce End of Period Processing. · Able to critically review, analyze and problem solve issues as they arise. · Ongoing Process improvement for functional responsibilities including system integrations. · Backup Payroll Lead-HCM Required Soft Skills: · Strong analytical skills with attention to detail · Critical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset · Team enthusiast with a commitment to share the work · Positive, professional, polite · Solid communication skills, written and verbal · Effectively understands and sets priorities · Driven self-starter with strong self-responsibility Required Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent · Minimum 3 - 5 years of related “financial” experience · Proven proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook · Flexible schedule due to pay run completion Desired Qualifications: · Minimum 3 - 5 years of in-house Payroll processing (Gross to net) · Experience with SAP, WorkForce Emp Center · Involuntary wage deduction processing · GL account reconciliation · Multi-state payroll taxes APA Certification – FPC or CPP preferre
