      The KinderCare Education Accounting team is seeking a Payroll Specialist I
      to help ensures accurate processing and recording of company's payroll,
      provides timely and accurate wage garnishment information, participates in
      daily data entry Payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have excellent
      organizational and communication skills, as well as strong attention to
      detail.
      Key Responsibilities:
      Our mission is to pay employees accurately and on time every time, while
      keeping our costs controlled and complying with all regulatory
      requirements. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, exceptional
      people person with outstanding analytical, project and leadership skills.
      • Process payroll for multiple clients in a timely and accurate manner
      • Process Certified Payrolls
      • Assist with funding and transacting of payroll processing function
      • Verify timekeeping records of employees with accuracy and
      completeness
      • Assist with reconciliation of payroll data, including payroll taxes, to
      ensure accuracy and compliance
      • Address complex payroll issues and provide guidance and support
      • Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll policies and procedures
      • Understand key payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
      • Assist with internal audits
      • Provide responses to inquiries and requests from employees, taxing
      authorities, garnishment and/or court notices, ensuring proper
      authorization, legal compliance and documentation.
      • Develops strong business partnerships with external and internal
      counterparts
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements
      • Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

      Key desired skills and experience includes:
      • Minimum 2-5 year experience with basic payroll functions.
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or
      related field preferred
      • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
      • Experience with Workday Payroll processes
      • Must possess a high degree of adaptability
      • Strong communication and customer service skills required.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
      with discretion
      • Must be able to successfully handle a variety of issues on a day-to-day
      basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately in
      a fast paced environment.
      • CPP designation preferred, or working towards completion
