- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
- The PCT Virtual Care provides continuous remote observation of patients identified as at risk for safety concerns.
- Using two-way audio and video technology, monitors patient behavior and promptly intervenes by verbally redirecting the patient or notifying clinical staff when necessary.
- This role supports patient safety, dignity, and privacy while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, guidelines and policies.
- Professional demeanor and discretion when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal communication using microphones, headsets, and webcams.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Experience in direct patient care or patient observation roles.
