      Serves as the key advisor on all division business matters to the Department Administrator, Department Chairperson or Division Head. Maintains primary responsibility for developing the annual budgets for 3 to 4 Pediatric Divisions, for securing and managing all fiscal (clinical and/or research related) and human resources for assigned divisions or programs; strategic planning, oversight, coordination and management of all clinical, research and education actives of the divisions to ensure efficient operations; other duties as assigned.

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

      • Masters degree from accredited college or university in Business Mgmt or related field; minimum; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
      • Minimum five years proven experience in health care
      • Minimum three years experience in a management role, specifically handling business operations and HR issues
      • Strong PC proficiency
      • Knowledge of IDX or similar computerized billing system
      • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
      • Understanding of payers to Maryland
      • Understanding of: FSC's and pay codes used in IDX; insurance plans, payor contractual requirements for the job; importance of compliance with all government regulations regarding billing

      Total Rewards
      The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
