What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide non-clinical, evidence-based peer support services to families and caregivers
- Guide families in creating Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP®)
- Empower family members to participate in treatment decisions and support plans
- Facilitate support and education to families on mental health and substance use
- Document all interactions according to company standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years' experience working as a family peer specialist
- Peer Specialist certification as required by the state
- CFPS/National Peer Support Credential required within one year of hire
- Must be or have been a parent or caregiver of a child who received services for mental health related issues
- Positive attitude, strong people skills, and ability to travel within the community

- Knowledge of local mental health, substance use, and community systems
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
