What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support over the phone, connecting with individuals in need
- Build rapport and engage clients effectively while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Offer resources and information to callers based on their needs
- Remain calm and professional while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with fellow Peer Support Specialists
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Peer Support Worker or an equivalent credential
- Acceptance of certifications such as CFPSW, CPSW, and CWF or equivalent
- Current experience as a peer with a willingness to acquire further certification as required
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a focus on personal recovery
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations
- Familiarity with mental health resources and support services
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a structured team environment
