What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support through phone interactions, connecting with individuals in need
- Build rapport and engage with clients, offering available resources and information
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working in a distraction-free private office space
- Remain calm and professional while managing multiple tasks to support callers
- Participate in ongoing meetings, training, and team-building activities with peers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire necessary certifications as per applicable laws
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Commitment to personal recovery and ongoing engagement in the recovery process
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in crisis intervention or peer support roles
- Familiarity with mental health resources and community services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a structured team environment
