What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide peer support over the phone, connecting with individuals in need
- Build rapport and engage clients effectively
- Offer available resources and information to callers
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure a distraction-free work environment
- Support callers while remaining calm and professional, multi-tasking as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Peer Support Worker, Family Peer, Wraparound, or equivalent certification
- Current experience as a peer and willingness to acquire certification in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Commitment to personal recovery and ongoing professional development
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or related fields
- Additional certifications in peer support or mental health services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with resources available for individuals seeking support
