      Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated HR professional to join our team to support the delivery of single managed services across the Bristol NHS Group. This is a great challenge for the right candidate to make a tangible and lasting contribution to the development and stability of the implementation of this programme of work across the city aligned to the delivery of the Joint Clinical Strategy.

      Main duties of the job

The main purpose of this role is to support key projects that will enable achievement of the Joint Clinical Strategy vision and benefits realisation of University Hospitals Bristol & Weston (UHBW) and North Bristol Trust (NBT) becoming a single hospital Group.

Reporting to the HR Programme Lead, a key part of this role is to provide HR support for the delivery of Single Managed Services (SMS). This support will vary dependent on the type of SMS being implemented. The responsibilities will range from supporting the organisational change required to implement a Group clinical service; to supporting corporate teams to align policies, processes and systems, to enable the Trusts to operate effectively as a Group.

Working collaboratively with work stream leads from the People functions, Programme Managers, TU representatives, clinical and operational colleagues, the postholder will provide HR advice and guidance, change management expertise and project management skills, to support the delivery of plans.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
