Job Description – Pharmacy Assistant

We are hiring a Pharmacy Assistant, Central Pharmacy Services .

Location: Bay 116, 10725 25 Street NE Calgary, AB, T3N 0A4

What You'll Do:

• Prepare totes for shipping
• Package and sort prescriptions into shipping totes
• Track prescriptions in central fill software to ensure medications filled and delivered on time
• Operate and maintain ParataMax, Count assist and VBM automation used in the production of vials and CPAKs
• Ensure proper storage, handling, disposal of drugs and return to stock in accordance with SOPs
• Troubleshoot automation
• Report automation issues to vial or CPAK production team leads
• Other duties in production line as required
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Team Lead direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bylaws.

• Experience with high volume filling environments an asset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work and maneuver quickly and consistently for extended periods
• Ability to stand for an extended period
• Must be able to complete work with minimum supervision
