      Description

      As a Pharmacy Sales Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for driving sales growth and providing expert-level technical support for pharmacy-related solutions, products, or technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmacy industry, including knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, technology systems, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs, demonstrate product functionality, and offer tailored solutions to enhance the pharmacy's operation and profitability.
      • The position is remote with travel expectations in order to close business.
      • An ideal candidate would live in the eastern half of the US.

      Essential Job Functions:

      Sales Support and Client Engagement
      • Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise in pharmacy products, systems, or services during sales calls and presentations.
      • Present and demonstrate product capabilities and value propositions to clients in a clear, engaging, and effective manner.
      • Understand client needs, challenges, and business objectives, and recommend appropriate pharmacy solutions.

      Product Expertise and Solution Design
      • Provide subject matter expertise in the pharmacy domain, including pharmacy operations, technologies (e.g., automation, management software, dispensing systems), and industry regulations.
      • Assist clients in designing a 340B strategy and pharmacy plan to meet their specific operational needs and goals.
      • Stay current on the latest trends, innovations, and regulations in the pharmacy industry to inform product recommendations.

      Training and Education
      • Develop and deliver training sessions for internal teams on the proper use and implementation of pharmacy products or systems.
      • Ensure internal teams are fully educated on industry best practices, new features, and system updates.

      Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
      • Collaborate with the product management and marketing teams to provide feedback on customer needs, product improvements, and competitive insights.
      • Work with the implementation and support teams to ensure seamless deployment of pharmacy solutions.
      • Contribute to the development of sales tools, presentations, and product documentation to improve the sales process.

      Sales and Revenue Generation
      • Assist in meeting or exceeding sales targets by identifying new opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling solutions within existing client accounts.
      • Provide insight into market trends, competition, and potential opportunities for new products or services.
      • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives for the pharmacy sector.

      Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, or a related field required. An advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MBA) is a plus.
      • Pharmacist license required, does not matter which state.
      • Experience opening (design, licensing, credentialing, hiring) and operation a retail and/or specialty pharmacy
      • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in the pharmacy industry, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, systems, technologies and start up/openings.
      • Previous experience in a sales, technical, or subject matter expert role within the healthcare or pharmacy sector is preferred.
      • Previous 340B experience preferred.
