What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide patient, provider, and customer care through effective communication
- Utilize the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care
- Participate in patient care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacist
- Prepare and label medications accurately for distribution
- Manage inventory of medications and supplies in compliance with organizational policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA)
- Computer literacy and familiarity with the healthcare regulatory environment
- Strong teamwork skills and knowledge of pharmaceutical names
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and inventory management
- Ability to participate in training and onboarding new staff members
