      PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

      Performs applicable general pharmacy technician duties and assists with filling prescriptions. Contributes to the provision of quality

      pharmacy services to dialysis and other patients in accordance with state pharmacy regulations and Fresenius Medical Care Pharmacy policies and procedures.

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Under Pharmacist guidance and per company policies and procedures, assists with dispensing of products and performs general pharmacy technician duties as follows:

      Monitor the drug file in the software application and prepare prescriptions for central fill

      Prepares prescription through data entry for Pharmacist verification

      Assist the shipping department with packaging, distribution, and tracking of patient orders

      Creates and updates patient’s health and demographic information in system

      Enter patient, medical, or prescription order data into the patient information system

      Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state, and federal laws and regulations

      Assist with various projects as assigned by supervisor

      Other duties as assigned

      EDUCATION:

      High School Diploma required Registered or ability to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in applicable state

      EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

      1-year related experience Understanding of medical terminology and calculations is desirable Strong attention to detail Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Professionalism Proficient in Microsoft 365 products and computer operation Oral and written communication skills.
