Job summary
Modality Partnership East Surrey Division has a part-time/ full-time vacancy (25 hours to 37.5 hours per week) for a phlebotomist. The postholder will be a high performing Phlebotomist working at Birchwood and Smallfield Surgery. We are seeking dedicated postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
This job is suitable for individuals who enjoy interacting with patients, delivering high quality patient care, and look forward to working closely with the nursing team and wider practice team. Salary for this role is £12.50-£14.50 per hour.

Main duties of the job
This is a hands-on patient facing role; we are seeking individuals to join our team who are caring, compassionate and confident, who demonstrate effective communication, excellent customer service skills, good IT skills and the ability to support patients with interventions and/or queries. The post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture to obtain blood samples from patients only as the result of a direct referral from a GP or nurse / nurse practitioner, working strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. Assist and support care delivery by only undertaking delegated work that is within own level skill and competence.
