What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle all patient billing inquiries, providing excellent customer service
- Resolve complex patient billing issues and assist patients, doctors, and coworkers with inquiries
- Ensure timely processing and accurate payment of claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and ensure proper documentation
- Collaborate with IT and third-party billing partners to enhance billing processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3-4 years of experience in Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial Insurance billing required
- Strong understanding of DME billing rules and third-party payor procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong conflict resolution skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Some college and/or medical billing certificate preferred
- 3-4 years of experience in oxygen or HME billing preferred
- Intermediate knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Brightree, Salesforce, and New Voice Media
