What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement therapeutic plans under the supervision of a physical therapist
- Provide daily care, including gait training, balance exercises, strength training, and functional mobility
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and wellness
- Ensure compliance with UAMS policies and HIPAA standards
- Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current and valid licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy as a physical therapist assistant or eligibility to apply for licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience is preferred
- Current Arkansas license or eligibility to obtain one within one month of hire
- Preferred certification in LSVT BIG or PWR! Moves
