      Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a PA or NP for a full time position at New Bridge

      Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, a clinical affiliate of Rutgers, is a 1,070-bed hospital located in Paramus, NJ. The Medical Center is both the largest hospital and licensed nursing home in New Jersey and the fourth largest publicly owned hospital in the nation.

      Bergen New Bridge, a not-for-profit safety net facility, provides high-quality comprehensive services, including acute and ambulatory care, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, 24/7 emergency department, surgical suites, physical rehabilitation, pharmacy, laboratory, and radiologic services.

      We are seeking an experienced PA or NP to work in our Emergency Department serving the Behavorial Health and Detox Unit.

      12 hour shifts both day and night 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am


      • PA to be medically trained with a passion for Psych - Does not need to be Psych trained
      • Conduct initial psychiatric and physical assessments on patients for the behavorial health and detox unit
      • Diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders and substance abuse disorders under the supervision of the psychiatrist
      • Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using evidence - based detox protocols.
      • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, ECG's and imaging.
      • Document clinical notes in the EMR accurately and in a timely manner
      • Educate patient and families about diagnosis, medications, safety standards including HIPPA and infection control.
