      Position purpose:

      Initiates and conducts the complete employment process for Trinity Health West Michigan for system, high-level positions including Physicians, Medical Directors, Advanced Practice Professionals (i.e., Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) and physician practices affiliated with the Trinity Health organization (as determined by the Vice President, Medical Affairs) to ensure that positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified applicants. Collaborates with other system affiliates to develop and maintain consistent recruitment services.

      What the Physician Recruiter will do:

      • Initiates and conducts the recruitment process, including sourcing a diverse applicant pool, initial screening, selecting, and conducting appropriate background/ criminal/ OIG/ GSA licensure and education checks.

      • Conducts intake sessions with Physician and Administrative Leaders to create job postings.

      • Works closely with the Provider Contracting and Compensation team to negotiate offers of employment with providers.

      • Coordinates site visits including interview itineraries and travel. Collaborates with relocation specialist and other community people/resources to meet with and escort candidates around the West Michigan community.

      • Communicates and collaborates with physicians, staff, management, executives, outside professionals, schools/ universities and vendors regarding recruitment/retention, compensation/benefit concerns and health care careers.

      • Networks with individuals to establish and develop positive professional relationships and reinforce a positive image of Trinity Health. Participates in physician recruitment networks (e.g.; ASPR, MRRN, etc.).

      • Educates self on West Michigan healthcare systems, familiarizes self on benefits and other tools to attract employees.

      Minimum qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or appropriate combination of education, related experience, and skill mix necessary to effectively perform the essential functions of the role.

      • Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.

      • Four years of experience with sourcing, recruiting and interviewing for staff, management and high-level positions.

      • Knowledge of and familiarity with physician and APP compensation models
