  Picture Editor:12 Month FTC
  Waitrose Food, the UK’s leading food and lifestyle magazine, is looking for a Picture Editor to join our award-winning art team.
  Reporting into the Deputy Creative Director, You will organise food and portrait photo shoots, commission talent and work with the art and food teams to oversee the photography diary.
  Main responsibilities include numerous administrative tasks;
  • Picture research for the magazine and multiple projects with Waitrose

  • Help brief photographers; negotiate fees and rights; manage the photography budget on a month-by-month basis

  • Collaborate with artists, agents and stylists

  • Organise couriers, props, equipment and locations
  The Picture Editor will attend editorial meetings and partner with editorial and design staff to determine picture requirements; research and commission pictures for supplements, social media and promotional purposes and provide support to the art team.
  PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Experience of both picture research and organising and directing photo shoots

  • Experience working with food professionals and on other food-related titles

  • Experience help brief photographers; negotiate fees and rights;

  • Experience with administration from budgets to payroll
