Job Description
- Req#: 57320BR
- Ensure timely execution timeline of project and Back-log clearance, if required.
- Coordinate with Process, Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation groups to ensure design suits all these depts.
- Collaborate with Plant Layout and Pipe Routing Engineers for optimal design.
- Do vendor drawing reviews and provide comments if any
- Modelling of clips, supports on equipment.
- Extract and check isometrics.
- Should be able to carry out both Dynamic and static analysis.
- Can be able to perform Flange leakage test analysis to be performed as per Code Case 2901 as per ASME B 16.5 and Nozzle checks as per WRC 107 and WRC 297.
- Prepare stress isometrics with details of pipe supports.
- Design of special supports as per requirement and propose suitable changes to the Pipe routing to accommodate the results of the stress analysis.
- Perform stress analysis at Design, Operating and Special conditions such as Wind and Seismic analysis inclusive of expansion case.
- Responsible for design, Monitoring and control of the piping stress design progress including the coordination with the customers and vendors for progress and updates.
- Responsible for the technical guideline preparation and the final check of all the project deliverables like stress report, restraint summary report, displacement report, piping supports / expansion bellows supply specifications and drawings in accordance with international standards and project specifications.
- Review, feasibility studies, NPD, CTH at the advanced level to which technically complex tasks (ex. acoustic assessment, fatigue evaluation, dynamic simulations) or project technical supervision are typically delegated.
- Responsible for the internal design standards approval.
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in related industry (Design/ EPC/ Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical industry).
- Modeling and stress analysis of skid-based equipment and piping
- Fluent English written and oral communication / interpersonal skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the -other teams.
- Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Certification course in Pipe stress Analysis is an advantage.
- Assist with promoting best practice internally.
- Knowledge of material and piping codes / standards /ASME stds
- Proven Piping stress Analysis experience is must.
- Experience working on Tools/ Software: Pipe Stress analysis software CAESAR II, Autopipe, CAEPIPE, Rohr2, PEPS, 3D Model Viewing in Navisworks, etc
- Exposure to project planning software/tools.
- Experience with Share Point for document management.
- Experience in an engineering position in Oil and gas/ Petro-chemical/ LNG sector in Piping & structural engineering
