      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Plan, design, estimate, manage, inspect, and analyze complex electrical systems for campus-wide projects
      - Provide technical support and design ideas to customers, ensuring cost-effective solutions for departmental budgets
      - Prepare complex technical reports and detailed cost studies while acting as a public liaison for campus stakeholders
      - Procure materials for Maintenance Services and provide management during campus emergencies
      - Oversee compliance with university standards and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
      - 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in mechanical construction and project management
      - 5-8 years of experience in residential and commercial lighting design, including adherence to electrical safety standards
      - Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable regulations
      - Possession of a State of Michigan Master Electrical License and a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 8-10 years of experience in project management and construction management
      - Familiarity with software such as Planon, MERIDIAN, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office 365
      - Experience working with high voltage and distribution systems
      - Strong technical and communication skills with a focus on innovative solutions
      - Ability to work autonomously from project inception to closeout
