      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage major projects through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Maryland Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) processes
      - Lead the operation and review of data, research analysis, and concept development for transportation projects
      - Complete environmental documentation and permitting to advance projects with significant regional influence
      - Manage consultant contracts, including the development and approval of scopes of services and invoices
      - Represent the employer in public meetings and respond to inquiries and complaints regarding planning studies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
      - Seven (7) years of professional engineering experience, with five (5) years specifically in conducting NEPA studies
      - Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, practices, and methods
      - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and exercise sound judgment
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      - Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams that include both staff and consultants
      - Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on collaboration and responsiveness
      - Ability to quickly learn new technologies as they are implemented
