      Hours: 5am until finish - potentially 8-10 hr days
      Pay: $100-120k/year with room to go higher DOE


      PURPOSE OF JOB :
      Responsible for set-up, and operation of plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture miniature, precision tubing to established quality standards in order to meet production demands. Responsible for monitoring, inspecting, established quality standards. Perform routine inspections and quality tests, prepare and quality records as required.

      MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
      • Extrusion Specialist
        • Clean extruder parts and setup extrusion line.
        • Help troubleshoot issues with extrusion and equipment.
        • Perform set-up, routine maintenance of equipment.
        • Perform routine inspections on product produced.
        • Maintains various lists, logs and tracking systems related to documents, equipment, and records.
        • Reports on key Quality Metrics as assigned.
        • Participates in third party and internal quality audits involving areas of responsibility.
        • Works in accordance with quality system procedures.
        • Perform other duties as assigned.

      EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
      High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.

      EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
      Three (3) or more years of experience in plastic extrusion in a regulated environment (GMP/ISO) supporting the development and commercialization of medical devices or components. Experience with inspections on product produced and detection of defects. Experience with use of measuring equipment (pin gages, micrometers, calipers, snap gages, video measuring systems, etc.).

      OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :
      Strong knowledge of plastic extrusion, quality systems, and working in regulated environment. Experience in medical device/ISO 13485 environment preferred. Experience with producing single lumen, multi-lumen polymer (plastic tubing). Also preferred is experience in producing balloon tubing and/or heat-shrink tubing. Ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Ability to use Microsoft Windows based computer systems and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe (PDF).
