- Salary starting from $145,378 + super
- Refine the PMO strategy and implement a common project management methodology, standards, tools and systems to drive successful delivery of projects
- Manage the PMO governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of priority project activity
- Coordinate portfolio interdependencies to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between key stakeholders
- Identify and escalate strategic issues
- Implement a best-practice governance model
- Maintain collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project SMEs and senior stakeholders
- Enhance strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of project implementation
- Experience in a PMO role, ideally within large scale transformation or transition programs, with the ability to foster a collaborative environment and drive high performance across the project team.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, MS Suite, JIRA) with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and optimise their use for project delivery
- Proven expertise in program governance and reporting, including development and evolution of project status reports, dashboards, and senior stakeholder (Executive, Steering Committee, Board) level reporting.
- Strong risk and issue management capabilities with a demonstrated ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks in complex implementation projects.
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including workstream leads, senior managers, and external
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data-driven insights to inform project decisions and maintain overall project health.
PMO Lead
This newly established team’s purpose is to support the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.
Involving the consolidation of ERP systems and processes, IT service and incident management a nd travel and expense management, the program will lead to a better employee experience and enable more efficient sector mobility. Additionally, common, streamlined and efficient processes will allow our people to better focus on our customers.
The PMO Lead will ensures that this program and its elements align with the strategic goals of the government and the organisation. In the initiation phase, you will work closely with senior executives to ensure that the program and associated projects are established with standardised execution - including reporting on progress and alignment with strategic initiatives - as well as developing and monitoring budgets, timelines, risks, quality, governance, and other collateral required for successful delivery.
This role is key to maintaining project momentum, coordinating efforts across the program/s, and ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within scope
