      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the podiatry team at CHCP, working across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. We welcome applications from final-year students and apprentices. The opportunity to be guided by a dedicated mentor and work alongside experienced colleagues as part of a close-knit team of specialists will provide outstanding foundations for a rewarding career.

      With CHCP supporting the individual's drive to enhance clinical skills, continuous professional development will be encouraged through regular appraisals and supervisions. There will be opportunities to grow as a podiatrist with mentored experience of core podiatry skills, musculoskeletal assessments/treatments of adults and children, nail surgery and wound care. The position also involves the mentorship of podiatry apprentices, students and support workers. Individuals will have opportunities to participate in audit and research.

      Main duties of the job

      The successful candidate must:

      • Have a degree in podiatry or be in the final year of a podiatry degree
      • Must be able to travel effectively to and from clinics and patients across the region
      • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

      The working pattern is typically Monday-Friday 08:30-16:30.

      • A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. NICE Guidance, Falls Prevention, Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion
      • Knowledge of podiatry models of practice, standardised assessments and their use

      • Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. NSF, Social Inclusion
      • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
