What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research, develop, and manage the organization’s internal policies and standard operating procedures
- Analyze policy proposals and evaluate their potential impacts while vetting new policy content
- Act as a liaison between departments, translating complex regulations into clear, actionable guidelines for staff
- Manage the policy and procedure database, ensuring alignment with healthcare laws and regulatory standards
- Maintain a regular review cycle for all policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and accurate
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, specifically managing policies and procedures or in compliance/regulatory affairs
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, or a related field
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical processes
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations
- Familiarity with accreditation standards like The Joint Commission
- Experience with policy management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health record systems (EHR)
