- Champion the iEMEA Regional needs within the global organization, as related to portfolio / area of responsibility. Ensure the Region is over-represented on the global stage.
- Manage a healthy dynamic product portfolio at a regional level, ensuring regional needs are anticipated and met, driving sustainable profitable growth.
- Build strong customer insight and market knowledge, ensuring product offerings are effectively differentiated & positioned in the market with a clear value proposition.
- Lead development and execution of product portfolio marketing plans aligned to commercial objectives including: NPI launch, market share gain strategy, customer utilisation growth and price growth.
- Control portfolio strategy and forecasting (short- and long-term) driven by market insights, sales team collaboration and ambition.
- Works cross functionally with sales, marketing, scientific affairs, demand/supply, finance, technical, quality and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of product marketing plans. Cross functionally working both within and outside the region.
- Leads cross functionally to effectively manage the product portfolio, forecasting and pricing to support market share increase with sustainable profitable growth.
- Effectively lead your team developing and coaching to elevate contributions and performance, ensuring the team delivers on business objectives.
- Champions the portfolio internally and acts externally as portfolio champion with customers, senior industry experts, KOLs and external bodies creating new business opportunities.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with demonstrated commercial acumen.
- Superior communication and influencing skills, collaborative and team oriented.
- Engaging and inspiring leadership skills with proven ability to elevate contributions and impact of teams.
- Demonstrated depth and expertise with customers, products and use cases.
- Able to partner fluidly with peers using balanced skills in business, marketing, technical and operational.
- Ability to evolve in a constant changing environment
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, market research, channel/product marketing, portfolio management, business/market development, branding, with strong interest on incumbent theories and practices on eCommerce, eBusiness, eMarketing and digitalization, will be valued.
- In-depth knowledge of business functional areas, structure, and matrix organization, as well as of the external market (customers, industry, competitors, trends, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Microbiology required or equivalent experience in food microbiology.
- Extensive work industry experience in sales, product management, product marketing or related discipline with advancing responsibilities and contributions to organizations.
- English speaking, with excellent communication, both verbal & written skills are essential.
- A second European language would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong mental arithmetic and numeracy skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must be highly motivated, adaptable, driven with excellent organization skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.

We are currently looking to recruit a Portfolio Lead – Microbiology to join our award-winning business. This role is the regional champion for the microbiology portfolio and can be based anywhere in Europe.
Primarily, the role is responsible for leading the portfolio strategy - setting the direction and aligning the iEMEA region to drive value, share growth and attainment of commercial objectives. This role may lead direct report/s and is responsible for developing and coaching team members to elevate their performance while effectively partnering cross functionally for alignment and successful execution of portfolio objectives.
