      Department Overview

      The Technology Solutions (“TS”) Department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure and gold level service for our key stakeholders with information security embedded throughout. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic and Secure Infrastructure and Operations. The Technology Solutions Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives.

      Position Responsibilities

      This position is primarily focused on designing, developing, enhancing and supporting robust data analytic dashboards and reports across a broad spectrum of functions using Power BI. The successful candidate must have demonstrated prior experience working in a data intensive environment, delivering robust and innovative reporting solutions to end users. The candidate must be able to gain a deep understanding of the relevant enterprise data models, operational systems and enterprise data warehouse to design and deliver impactful, strategic, analytic and reporting solutions to enhance key business processes. This hands-on role requires critical thinking, strong client focus, strong technical skills and the ability to execute and deliver.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Expert in Power BI, Power BI modeling and Power BI Paginated reports. Stays abreast of rapid developments in these technologies. Independently complete sophisticated data analysis across multiple platforms using Excel, Power BI, Power BI Paginated or other available tools. Strong data analytics skills to solve data issues.
      • Use reporting tools to design and deliver dashboards and reports to collaborators using an agile-like methodology for increased stakeholder engagement and faster time to market
      • Expert in developing SQL scripts to validate financial and statistical measures presented in Power BI and Power BI Paginated reports. Understand and apply the enterprise vision and strategy to the project solution while balancing tactical needs to deliver.
      • Lead a team of report developers daily and provide technical and leadership guidance.
      • Develop detailed requirements documentation including user stories, use cases, design specifications, business process, data flows and acceptance criteria. Accountable for deliverables by understanding and balancing the contending demands for project scope, time and quality. Ensure that all delivered solutions meet the highest quality standards and satisfy all specified business requirements through meticulous validation and testing.
      • Handle support issues raised by the business through to resolution and within defined support SLAs.
      • Confidently participate in meetings and handle frequent communications with all levels of the organization including key partners and senior management. Be very resourceful to proactively identify and engage available resources and domain experts in related areas to achieve goals, with a strong ability to multitask and handle time and priorities under pressure while meeting deadlines.

      Candidate Requirements

      Qualifications & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in Financial Services
      • 3-5 years of quality experience using and demonstrating exceptional proficiency in SQL (preferably T-SQL) including familiarity with SQL development tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and / or Azure Data Studio
      • 3-5 years of quality experience using and demonstrating exceptional proficiency in Power BI including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder (Paginated/SSRS), Power BI Premium Service, Power Query Editor and M development
      • 3-5 years of quality experience using and demonstrating exceptional proficiency in DAX development
      • 3-5 years of directly leading a team of report developers.
      • Familiarity with agile development cycle and common software development principles are required, including tools such as Microsoft DevOps and common version control technologies (such as Git/GitHub)
      • Familiarity with tabular data models in SSAS, AAS or Power BI Premium for data analysis and visualization purposes is required; Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus
      • Strong data analysis skills are required; experience completing small to medium-sized projects and a general understanding of Project Management principles is desired
