Support the development of an equipment condition assessment tracking and risk management procedure

Apply knowledge to real world operating failure modes experienced in the fleet

Support various power generation teams

Work will likely include analysis of power generation equipment data from renewable or fossil fueled power plants.

Intern may work with the equipment experts on how to analyze and troubleshoot equipment problems using new and existing techniques.

Tasks may include use of data analytics software tools (Excel, Python, Matlab, or similar), data science principles, an even some light software coding if applicable to the assignment.

Work activities may include such items as preparation of reports (in Grafana, PowerBi, Excel), calculations, specifications and scope documents as well as generating sketches and drawings in AutoCad format

Intern will work with the equipment on how to analyze and troubleshoot equipment problems

Support Maximo initiatives
- Assists department with assigned projects
- Completes challenging projects and assignments
- Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
- Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- High school grad / GED
- Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
- Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Position Specific Description
Power Generation Division Internship positions: Under direct supervision, this job applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broad variety of assignments and related fields. Develops knowledge and skills within a specific practice area. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard or novel techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence. Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments. Works on small projects or portions of larger projects. Supports development of standards and engineering guidelines, conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations. Candidates must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered
Some of the responsibilities for our engineering internships are listed below:
