- Performs administrative tasks such as answering phones, arranging meetings/calls as directed, making travel arrangements, and managing calendars.
- Filing of case documents, retrieving case files, and preparing files for closing in accordance with Records Department procedures.
- Preparing material for overnight/mail service deliveries.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy closing binders and amendment binders.
- Search, save, and review electronic files/emails; circulate to appropriate parties per instructions.
- Handling payment of matter related invoices and Attorney expense reports via ChromeRiver.
- High school diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships effectively and work as part of a team.
- Highly organized, with strong proofreading skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Overview
McGuireWoods LLP has a Practice Administrative Assistant opening in our Raleigh, NC office that will provide high level administrative support to Practice Assistants, Paralegals and Attorneys as needed on a day-to-day basis or on special projects. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly, have strong administrative and organizational skills, and be comfortable working with technology.
