What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide day-to-day support to the Utilization Management/Pre-Authorization staff
- Review and process pre-authorization requests for various medical services and equipment
- Monitor outpatient and behavioral health activities for quality of care and compliance
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the Pre-Authorization Department
- Lead or participate in special projects and departmental meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin, including compact license
- Four (4) or more years of experience in clinical care
- At least three (3) years of experience with prior authorization/utilization management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous leadership experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Knowledge of Milliman (MCG) or InterQual guidelines
- Familiarity with TruCare software
- Managed care experience
