What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review proposals and budgets for submission, ensuring compliance with university policies and guidelines
- Counsel and assist faculty and staff with proposal and budget development for externally funded projects
- Identify risks and liabilities in proposals to minimize impacts on the University
- Serve as a liaison between departments and external entities, including governmental agencies and non-profits
- Ensure compliance with conflicts of interest and other regulatory policies related to proposal processing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience processing proposals and/or awards with governmental agencies or non-profits
- Knowledge of federal and state guidelines for grant and contract administration
- Proficiency in personal computers and basic software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
- Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication, and organizational skills
