What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct instruction and support to high school students with disabilities
- Develop and utilize transition age curriculum focused on workplace readiness and career exploration
- Assist in the design and revision of training materials and manuals
- Collaborate with school district personnel, students, and community stakeholders for outreach
- Track and manage the development and promotion of curriculum materials
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
- Alternatively, 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective communication skills
- Ability to perform highly detailed work and interact effectively with university staff and faculty
- Proficient computer and research skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
- Familiarity with WIOA indicators and vocational rehabilitation services
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in teaching methods
