What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain authorizations from insurance companies for scheduled tests and procedures
- Interpret patient medical records and review cases with the insurance nurse reviewer
- Accurately enter information into multiple computer programs and insurance websites
- Communicate effectively with management, nursing staff, physicians, and insurance nurse reviewers
- Manage time effectively while working in a multi-tasking environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Ability to understand and interpret insurance benefits
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medical Assistant Degree
- 6 months of experience with medical terminology
