  Pricing and Profitability Analyst
  
  Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000/annually
  
  Position Overview
  
  The Pricing and Profitability Analyst, reports to the Manager, Pricing and Profitability and supports the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business to Business (B2B) business pricing algorithms, analyzing the parameters that influence the pricing algorithm, applying analytical rigor to trade-off decisions, working with stakeholders across the business to drive profitable growth, ensuring SimpleTire is MAP compliant, and providing insights to the Director, Pricing and Profitability, key channel owners and business leaders. The successful candidate will be motivated by his or her ability to adjust levers to influence the intended outcome and strategy. This candidate will possess strong communication skills and will make recommendations regarding pricing and promotional practices.
  
  Essential job functions:
  
  • Analyzes market, competitive and manufacturer data and makes recommendation regarding pricing parameters/ inputs to the D2C/B2B pricing algorithms
  • Maintain MAP prices for SimpleTire platform, ensuring SimpleTire and its marketplaces and B2B are MAP compliant
  • Build and streamline MAP processes with safeguards alerting SimpleTire of potential violations
  • Manage SQL scripts managing pricing strategies and alerts by channel
  • Drive D2C/B2B elasticity analysis alongside with the analytics team, and measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies
  • Works with stakeholders across the business to execute on profitability initiatives (i.e., defining hero products and ensuring adequate inventory, cost and price)
  • Built and automate MAP & pricing reports / alerts as well as completing frequent ad hoc analyses
  • Utilizes competitive pricing to identify pricing gaps and opportunities; perform comparisons to industry/company/benchmarks

  Qualifications
  
  Minimum Job Requirements
  
  • Degree in finance, analytics, engineering, or related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 year of demonstrated intermediate experience with SQL/MySQL (ETL experience is a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of financial and/or analytical experience
  • Possess an understanding of business, data and analytics and can effectively manipulate and analyze large amounts of data
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills, leveraging these skills to lead projects made up of cross functional teams that deliver high quality results
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel and Data Visualization Tools
  • Detailed understanding of P&Ls and how changes in revenue or expense line items lead to adjustments in profit
  • Ability to present complex information in a simplified fashion to facilitate understanding
  • High level of interest in the tire industry and/or multi-channel e-commerce
