- Coordinate and perform complex administrative tasks, often of a confidential nature, using department procedures and Solar's policies. Prioritize own workload and establish administrative methods and procedures for functional area and related administrative support.
- Research and resolve a wide range of problems in accordance with department objectives, using discretion and sound judgment to facilitate workflow.
- Compose and prepare detailed reports, presentations, correspondence, meeting minutes, graphs, tables, charts and spreadsheets, including the use of graphics and text art. Includes researching and assembling information and materials from various sources.
- Exercise some independent judgment in initiating, planning, coordinating and implementing a variety of large projects or functions. Plan and organize offsite events, including price negotiation for equipment rental, catering services, and banquet room fees.
- Use advanced computer skills for various software packages including set up and maintenance of databases. Create and generate purchase requisitions and maintenance requests. Use advanced features of electronic mail and time management.
- Provide phone coordination including backup phone coverage. Coordinate communications to keep information flowing within the department, between departments, with suppliers and customers.
- Maintain multiple calendars for management and conference rooms; coordinate, plan, organize meetings, programs and events; make travel arrangements which may include hotel rooms, car rentals, and calendar coordination for all travelers.
- Train or assist department personnel and peers in office procedures, voice mail, electronic mail, time management, as well as limited training in software applications. Recommend changes to improve office efficiency.
- Setup and maintain specialized resource files. Authorize limited departmental expense and cost control for supplies, purchase requisitions, check requests, and department purchases.
- Provide leadership to peers, team members or other administrative personnel. May include troubleshooting employee concerns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage workload with minimum direction and supervision
- Ability to learn and use various web-based software
- Highly organized and can manage multiple high priority tasks simultaneously

This position performs complex administrative tasks, identifies and solves problems requiring discretion and exercise of independent judgment. Assignments are given with specific objectives and possible problems identified. Incumbent is responsible for determining work methods and coordinating projects with others. Work is performed with little or no direction, but in accordance with departmental priorities and company policies. Position requires knowledge of work procedures in related areas. Responsibilities may include working in a team environment and/or serving as a backup to other team members. Position may also include leadership responsibilities to team members. Must have excellent computer skills and advanced skills in various software packages. Incumbent is a key contact for the assistance/training of peers and departmental personnel on policy, procedures, equipment, and software. Contacts include internal and external customers, technical personnel, and various company personnel. This position usually reports to multiple managers and/or directors.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Base salary for this role ranges from $ 52,937.00, to $ 79,405.00. Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Summary Pay Range:
$52,937.00 - $95,285.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
