      Job Description:

      Reporting to the Director of Capture, responsible for planning and executing the full cycle of business development and capture management activities to achieve the strategic growth objectives of the Integrated Vision Solutions business.

      Essential Functions:

      • Focusing on the domestic market, the Capture/BD Manager is responsible for prospecting and developing strategic new business opportunities, developing, and leading comprehensive capture plans, and supporting proposal execution. The Capture/BD Manager will develop and maintain key customer relationships, define customer needs and requirements, and align customer opportunities with IVS capabilities.
      • A self-motivated and driven leader with a high sense of urgency and initiative, the Capture BD Manager orchestrates and leads the overall capture plan of IVS strategic pursuits, leading teams comprised of all business functions in qualifying and pursuing strategic growth opportunities through the Common Capture Process
      • Identify, validate, and monitor customer budgets and customer capability development plans to qualify opportunities that support the business strategic plan, developing and executing detailed capture plans to achieve pipeline growth, forecasting future strategic growth opportunities that achieves business growth.
      • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

      Qualifications:

      • Participates in trade shows and other events
      • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
      • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related Business Development experience.
      • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
      • Must have an active, or active within the last 24 months, DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.

      Preferred Additional Skills:

      • Experience working within the DoD capability development or acquisitions organizations (i.e. professional acquisition officer, requirements officer, Service Advocate/User Representative/Proponent) or selling to the Department of the Defense.
      • Proven track record in leading comprehensive capture of new business opportunities and expanding business pipelines.
      • Knowledge of DoD capability development processes (JCIDS, PPBE, AMS) and buying processes, including DFARS and FARS
      • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
      • Display exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills
      • Have the ability to develop and present high quality presentations to all levels of a customer leadership
      • Possess first-rate public speaking ability
      • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Owns strong interpersonal skills and active listening skills
      • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills; able to multi-task
      • Strong computer skills and proficiency in sales software programs
