What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and edit contributions from external expert authors to ensure clarity and actionable recommendations
- Monitor the literature for new developments and identify topics needing updates
- Collaborate closely with outside authors, section editors, and peer reviewers to ensure material accuracy
- Systematically review existing topics for clinical relevance and completeness
- Maintain involvement in patient care activities while dedicating 80-90% of time to editorial work
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Medical Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to spend 80-90% of the work week on editorial tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, writing, and listening
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Clinical experience in an academic setting post-residency
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at different skill levels
- Interest in critical analysis of medical literature
- Ability to give and receive feedback effectively
- Interest in maintaining clinical work (10-20% of time)
