What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Proactively manage database availability and performance to meet business requirements
- Install, configure, monitor, and tune enterprise databases
- Provide expert guidance on tools, methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Offer technical and work process guidance to team members
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of industry-related experience in Information Services, Computer Science, or Database Administration
- At least 3 years of experience in RDBMS administration in a 24x7 enterprise environment
- Experience in architecting database solutions for various platforms including SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows Clustering with SQL Server Always ON Availability Groups
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications upon hire
- Advanced experience with Windows and/or Unix Server environments
- Familiarity with Cloud Database technologies such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of databases
- Knowledge in managing user permissions and securing sensitive patient data
