      We are seeking a results-driven individual to join our growing organization in San Jose, California facility.

      Job Summary:

      In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the platform engineering mechanical team in San Jose, CA. This role involves working on current and next-generation mechanical designs of medical instruments. You will be part of a dedicated team, working in a dynamic environment.       Job Details:

      • Lead architectural definition and drive new technology implementation in next-generation platforms.
      • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
      • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
      • Lead failure analysis efforts and develop mitigation plans for field and manufacturing related issues.
      • Actively engage in external technical community and demonstrate leadership through technical presentations.

      Knowledge and Training:

      • Relevant experience in the mechanical design of computer/network equipment designed to operate in data centers.
      • Advanced knowledge of cross-functional design areas such as Interconnects, SI, PCB, EMI, safety, and thermal management.
      • Active participation and contribution to industry standard organizations.
      • Experience leading a team of engineers and managing projects from conception to completion.
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
      • Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
      • Ability to balance the needs of a fast-paced start-up environment with the need for thorough documentation and quality control.
      • Knowledge and competency in application of FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR, and other regulatory requirements, especially in quality systems and design control as applied to projects from design inception to manufacturing release.

      Experience:

      • Expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing, and structural analysis.
      • Demonstrated experience in innovation, such as contributions to patents or similar achievements.
      • Experience providing technical advice and counsel to senior executives.

      Education:

      Bachelor's degree in Engineering + 15 years of related industry experience or Master's degree in Engineering and 12+ years of related experience.

      The salary range posted reflects the projected hiring range for new full-time hires in U.S. locations, excluding equity or benefits. For non-sales roles, the ranges include base salary plus potential bonuses. Sales positions include base and incentive compensation. Actual pay depends on location, skills, experience, and education.
