What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the chief operations research analyst for designated wargames and Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) events, ensuring analytical rigor from problem framing through final reporting
- Lead enterprise operations research strategy efforts, translating sponsor objectives into structured analytical questions and study plans
- Design and oversee experimental methodologies for wargames, exercises, and simulations
- Direct the analysis of wargame and exercise data, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Mentor and coach a team of operations research analysts and data scientists, ensuring high-quality deliverables
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active Secret clearance; eligibility for Top Secret preferred (U.S. citizenship required)
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations research or a closely related analytical discipline
- PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field; or a Master’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience leading complex operations research studies involving wargames or simulations
- Proven expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and model development for operational problems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience with Department of Defense wargaming constructs or major exercise series
- Familiarity with LVC simulation environments and wargame design tools
- Prior experience supporting Air Force or joint command-level analysis is highly desirable
