What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive extraction of biological insights from complex multi-modal omics and screening data
- Develop and leverage methods/platforms to discover, prioritize, and validate therapeutic targets
- Collaborate with therapeutic area scientists on innovative research
- Shape roadmap priorities with data science and information systems teams
- Influence computational biology strategy across multiple discovery programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate in computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, or a related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience in computational biology
- Strong research background in cardiometabolic disease and/or immunology
- Proven track record of driving impactful programs or platforms in discovery or early development
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, and Linux/Unix
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience mentoring scientists and setting standards for computational best practices
- Ability to integrate portfolio-level business context into research strategy
- Demonstrated expertise in the analysis and interpretation of single-cell omics data
- Familiarity with public data resources such as DepMap and Human Cell Atlas
- Experience developing tools and pipelines for interactive portals and workflow management systems
