We are after a very experienced and capable senior software engineer with strong core T24 experience to work with our development teams to deliver high-quality software, quickly and reliably, that has a tangible impact on our business and the T24 technology strategy.
You must be proficient and up to date in your field, have a good idea of how to design software for future supportability and extensibility.
You'll need to be a versatile and hands-on engineer, and be able to express your ideas clearly, whilst remaining open to the ideas of others. You'll put collaboration at the heart of your approach to software development, inviting input widely and making sure all voices are heard.About Schroders

The team
Wealth currently has three technical teams that look after a variety of applications relating to the Investment, Finance, Client Services and Operations domains. While all our teams work in the vicinity of T24, two teams create T24 specific solutions preferably by integrating with the core banking platform or, when necessary, within the platform.
We design, create and maintain solutions across the full lifecycle in collaboration with stakeholders from the business. The teams use agile and DevOps techniques and processes including Scrum, Kanban and CI/CD with a focus to deliver business value incrementally. Our technical landscape centres around Temenos Transact (T24) and includes off-the-shelf applications as well as brand-new cloud-based solutions with a clear strategy to move our applications to the cloud over time.
Key technologies for the two T24 centric teams include Infobasic but also modern components such as Integration Framework, IRIS, JBoss, TAFJEE and the T24 data model etc. Creating integrated solutions outside T24 with C#, Python, SQL Server, and Oracle is key. New applications will mostly be hosted in our Azure Cloud and automatically deployed via Octopus.
What you'll do
The purpose of this role will be to develop high quality T24 solutions of various size and on schedule to help the business deliver amazing service to our customers.
• Guide design and development while implementing solutions with the team.
• Help us drive a continuous delivery approach which focusses on developing software iteratively, with fast feedback loops, frequent releases, and a “shift-left” approach to testing.
• Bring all your talents to help shape our software engineering culture in the team.
• Mentor other team members on their development practices.
• Developing high quality code according to technical specifications including Unit Tests as well as producing documentation ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Peer reviewing and providing feedback on documents and code.The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Wide, detailed, and up-to-date experience of the technologies and tools in your area.
• Plenty of experience in the full lifecycle of developing software from the first idea to the final execution
• Mandatory to have L3 code development skills with hands-on experience.
• TAFJ knowledge and code library management experience.
• Local code development skill using Info Basic and TAFJ componentized codes.
• In-depth Technical knowledge of T24 Customization and OFS processing.
• Linux basics.
• Agile delivery experience, especially around discovering requirements and preparing user stories.
• A good understanding of testing approaches and putting testability at the heart of software design and development.
• The ability to establish relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• A good understanding of system integration patterns and associated technologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English, and communication skills to help manage relationships with stakeholders of all levels.
• A deep understanding and experience of the Temenos Transact platform
• A good working knowledge of Securities Trading, Setup, Administration of Securities, Corporate Actions module of Transact.
• Excellent understanding of Delivery workflow (SWIFT, delivery advice, customization) in Transact.
• Excellent knowledge of T24 programming (templates, version APIs, enquiry APIs, Core API hooks) in Transact.
• Good understanding of T24 data model and storage in Oracle.
• Indepth experience in developing T24 multi-thread routines.The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• Channel interfaces configurations BROWSER, IB, DFE, Data Warehouse etc.
