      Job Description Summary

      This role will be the owner of GE Aerospace’s Strategy utilizing the Finance Data Lake (FDL) products and services. FDL is part of Aerospace’s finance reporting environment, utilized by over 2k users, ingesting over 12 strategic systems and having multiple downstream applications depending on its data.
      This role is responsible for partnering with E&Y on the execution of FDL’s SOW and partnering with broader GE Aerospace FP&A/Controllership/Finance DT to create a clear strategic direction.
      The candidate possesses expert knowledge of the IT capabilities relevant to Finance DT domain including but not limited to technical, functional, regulatory, architectural, integration, data, security, reporting and analytics.

      Job Description

      Essential Responsibilities

      • Influences SPBs/EBs on their decisions.
      • Develops understanding of Complete Aerospace’s Finance Reporting Landscape and the role of FDL suite in the ecosystem (Systems and reporting platforms)
      • Understand FDL program & product suite, from products, capabilities and audience within the platform, to how downstream Aerospace users consume data through Aerospace’s Data Lake.
      • Understand and manages all aspects of the SOW with E&Y for the FDL suite (Including tracking of relevant KPIs, such as SLAs, finance, and management of resourcing)
      • Defines Program strategy and Roadmap based on the needs of the business.
      • Partner closely with FP&A/Controllership/Finance DT customers to seek, identify and execute program improvements, simplification and growth aligned to the vision/mission. (New Ingestions, report consolidation, data consumption strategy, etc.).
      • Manages stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various levels of the organization including leadership and executives. Performs regular tracking and reporting on progress.
      • Tracks project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level (SOW)
      • Contribute to the development of products that are customer-focused, scalable, with reusable components and that can be orchestrated together or with other world-class products in adjacent domains.
      • Interact with EY/FDL Leadership and influence their roadmap where appropriate to meet customer’s needs.
      • Sets execution standards and defining project management practices followed by all project managers and project team within the program or division.
      • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
      • Defines Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly priority reviews for the product suite based on GE Aerospace’s Stakeholders priorities.
      • Collects Customer Feedback and define changes in the suite to drive adoption and business benefits.
      • Collaborates and organizes with functional owners(s), project technical team(s), project managers within program and interdependencies teams based on budget, scope and timeline.
      • Ensures successful, end-to-end delivery of a project or a program through ongoing client engagement, partnering with technical teams internal and external to the initiative, and coordination of all required activities and milestones. Manages day-to-day execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams.
      • Performs initial and final financial reviews, and ensure ongoing budget tracking
      • Demonstrates superior product and industry knowledge and helps organization to gain the competitive edge.
      • Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
      • A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
      • Eligibility Requirements:

      • Must be willing to travel (5-10%)

      Desired Characteristics

      • Experience leading large programs and products across different teams and technologies.

      • Experience with Finance Concepts (General Ledgers, Sub-Ledgers, etc.)
      • Experience with Agile Methodology.
      • Experience with Data and Analytics tech stack. (DBs, ETLs, Reporting)
      • Familiarity with reporting technologies such as Spotfire, OBIEE, Tableau.
      • Familiarity with ETL/Orchestrations technologies such as Informatica, Talend, HVR, Airflow, NiFi.
      • Familiarity with DBs technologies, such as Azure, Redshift, Databricks.
      • Familiarity with DB and systems architecture concepts.
      • Participates in product strategy development by considering product roadmap, opportunity identification, value cases and anticipated or planned GE business innovation and transformation.
      • Reviews and/or analyzes business requirements at domain level, aligning with current and planned solutions. Continually assesses requirements and anticipates the impact on the product backlog.
