      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collaborate with department physicians and staff to ensure proper authorization for payment
      - Communicate with patients regarding their coverage prior to specialty consultations or surgical procedures
      - Identify requirements for preauthorization of surgical procedures to minimize claim denials
      - Complete preauthorization documentation and follow up on the progress/approval
      - Maintain effective communication with hospitals and patients throughout the preauthorization process

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma and/or GED required
      - 1-3 years of experience in a medical or insurance role
      - General computer knowledge for navigating electronic medical records and documentation
      - Excellent organizational and communication skills
      - Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Familiarity with CPT/ICD-9 coding
      - Experience in a healthcare-related environment
