What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate potential privacy issues within Optum Care, assessing allegations and interviewing witnesses
- Review applicable documents and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other laws
- Oversee remediation and corrective action plans resulting from audits and investigations
- Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs for assigned markets
- Provide guidance to the business on compliance with privacy regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of experience in Privacy, Investigations, or Legal
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations
- Proven ability to manage and implement privacy plans for provider risks
- Experience in developing operational privacy policies and procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Information Privacy Professional or other relevant certifications
- Familiarity with laws and regulations specific to the healthcare industry
- Experience in conducting privacy reviews and audits
