      Your Role:

      The Process Development Expert is a chemist that supports operational excellence within the Bismuth Production Plant. This data-driven position requires both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset. You'll become an expert in all aspects of Bismuth production, from raw materials and equipment to processes and finished product quality. Through independent work, you'll analyze data to identify the root causes and corrective actions of production issues to ensure consistent, high-quality output. As a champion of continuous improvement, you'll lead the way in identifying opportunities for new products and processes, supporting CAPEX projects, and implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives including DOE (multi-variate methods). The daily work environment will encompass lab work and assistance in production plant trials. all while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. This hands-on role strongly emphasizes data analysis, problem-solving, and driving positive change in the Bismuth production process.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Interfaces with the Production Manager, site manager, and global product development
      • Drive quality through measurement, data analysis, technical record keeping, identifying production problems, developing solutions, and supporting production in raw material use, production processes and procedures
      • Identify and provide scope, justification, and process support for CAPEX project development and implementation
      • Support the quality management system by ensuring that their area of responsibility is documenting and complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Management of Change (MOC), Notification of Change (NOC), Customer Complaints, Corrective/Preventative Actions, and other required activities
      • Collaborate with local and global business partners to direct activities in quality control, applications testing, procurement, finance, logistics, supply network planning, sales and marketing, regulatory, and human resources activities
      • Drive innovation through operational excellence, which includes process improvement strategies, cost efficiencies, and new technologies

      Who You Are:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemcial Engineering, Biochemistry, or other life science discipline
      • 5+ years' experience in chemical manufacturing
      • 5+ years' experience in troubleshooting and data analysis

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemcial Engineering, Biochemistry, or other life science discipline
      • Lean & Six Sigma experience
